PSCCQ SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED THREE INTERVENTION FOR CHILDREN

The medical team at the Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Qassim has successfully conducted three urgent catheterizations for three children at different times.  The 1st patients were diagnosed as complete AVSD the medical team successfully placed a stent on the right ventricle outlet, which led to an improvement and stability of blood flow to the lung and an improvement in the blood oxygen level.

The second case was of an infant suffering from tetralogy of Fallot with recurrent attacks of cyanosis. An intervention was made and a stent was installed on the outlet of the right ventricle, which improved the blood flow to the lung and the stability of blood oxygen, praise be to God.

While the third case was a newborn who had a reflection in the major heart arteries with instability of blood oxygen and acidity in the blood, which forced the doctors to make a hole between the two atria urgently, and to make a catheter, and each of the three cases took about fifty minutes during the catheterization. All three cases are stable. thank God.

The medical team at the Prince Sultan Heart Center in Qassim confirmed that these measures are considered a temporary measure due to the need for other heart surgeries in these cases, may God heal them. In 2022, the center catered more than 337 cases of pediatric cardiac catheterization.
