PSCCQ END THE SUFFERING OF A 10- MONTH OLD BABY FROM A LARGE VENTRICULAR HOLE

The doctors of the Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Qassim performed a diagnostic catheterization and an “open heart” to close a large ventricular hole for a 10-month-old baby weighing 6 kilos, which was severely affecting the child’s growth, in addition to his repeated admissions due to lungs infections that increased burden on the child.

The case was received and within 24 hours they performed diagnostic catheterization and open-heart surgery. The patient went home in a stable condition, praise be to God.

The management of the Prince Sultan Cardiac Center confirmed that the medical team received the child’s case through referral cases from outside the region and the medical procedure was taken in less than 24 hours. The center’s management also confirmed that the medical team performed 68 open heart operations for children during the last three months.
