The
doctors of the Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Qassim, represented by Department
of Pediatric Cardiology, successfully performed a surgery on a 6-year-old
girl, weighing 15 kilos, who was suffering from a heart defect, which is a
membrane above the mitral valve, causing its blockage and multiple large
ventricular holes. The child was suffering from complications of a congenital
defect such as high pulmonary arterial pressure. After the successful operation the patient was later transferred to the intensive cardiac care until her condition
stabilizes.
The PSCCQ
administration is proud to confirm that the center has succeeded in
performing the 44 open heart surgeries for children in the Pediatric
Department. They are also proud to announce that PSCCQ is housed with an
integrated medical staff skilled in dealing with critical cases in children
and adults.
The success of all
the operations performed in the center by its skilled medical team is a
simple manifestation that PSCCQ is truly in pursuit of commitment and
excellence.
