Prince Sultan Cardiac Center Qassim
celebrated World Heart Day on Thursday evening, September 30, 2021.
In line with the celebration, the
center launched an awareness campaign, inspired with its slogan, "Your
Heart, Your Life, Protect the Heart of the Youth". The said campaign was
held at Al-Othaim Mall in Buraidah. This aims to educate people on ways to
prevent cardiovascular diseases, as well as ways to take care of the heart.
The event was graced with the
presence of the center's Financial and Administrative Director and Deputy
Center Director, Mr. Abdullah Al-Fouzan. He briefed the participating guests
with the preventive and awareness services inclusive in the campaign such as
taking measurements of height, weight, blood pressure, and blood sugar.

the health nutrition and anti-smoking workshops. It also extended the
workshop on cardiopulmonary resuscitation and registration of visitors. The
Director of Change Management, Communication and Awareness, Ms. Maryam
Al-Harbi tackled a detailed explanation about the associated tasks of each
workshop and the health and educational guidelines that the campaign intends
to provide to their visitors.
The PSCCQ management confirmed that
coming up with this idea is such an amazing tools to cultivate awareness to
the people. The center cooperated with the medical students by giving them
the opportunity to volunteer and take the experience and courage in dealing
with the public. This also gives the opportunity for the medical students to
gain experience with the participants - from the doctors and technicians of
the heart center. Furthermore, it was purposely goal to cultivate the
spirit and love of volunteering in the medical field and to give campaign
distinction and renewal of ideas and data. As such, it is inspired to
supplement more and more theoretical and practical knowledge to ensure and
alleviate the medical services.
The center also disclosed that the
campaign were participated by 139 visitors including 52 men and 87 women. These
efforts come within the framework of the center's social responsibility and
within the series of awareness campaigns to be conducted on the targeted
locations of the center especially the local community. More so,
all of the campaigns are equipped with substantial knowledge and information
to raise the people's awareness on ways to prevent heart diseases and other
diseases as well.
