PSCCQ HOLD ITS HEART AWARENESS IN LINE WITH THE CELEBRATION OF WORLD HEART DAY

Prince Sultan Cardiac Center Qassim celebrated World Heart Day on Thursday evening, September 30, 2021. 

In line with the celebration, the center launched an awareness campaign, inspired with its slogan, "Your Heart, Your Life, Protect the Heart of the Youth". The said campaign was held at Al-Othaim Mall in Buraidah. This aims to educate people on ways to prevent cardiovascular diseases, as well as ways to take care of the heart.

The event was graced with the presence of the center's Financial and Administrative Director and Deputy Center Director, Mr. Abdullah Al-Fouzan. He briefed the participating guests with the preventive and awareness services inclusive in the campaign such as taking measurements of height, weight, blood pressure, and blood sugar. Educational workshops were also included in the campaign, in addition to the health nutrition and anti-smoking workshops. It also extended the workshop on cardiopulmonary resuscitation and registration of visitors. The Director of Change Management, Communication and Awareness, Ms. Maryam Al-Harbi tackled a detailed explanation about the associated tasks of each workshop and the health and educational guidelines that the campaign intends to provide to their visitors. 

 The PSCCQ management confirmed that coming up with this idea is such an amazing tools to cultivate awareness to the people. The center cooperated with the medical students by giving them the opportunity to volunteer and take the experience and courage in dealing with the public. This also gives the opportunity for the medical students to gain experience with the participants - from the doctors and technicians of the heart center. Furthermore, it was purposely goal to cultivate the spirit and love of volunteering in the medical field and to give campaign distinction and renewal of ideas and data. As such, it is inspired to supplement more and more theoretical and practical knowledge to ensure and alleviate the medical services. 

The center also disclosed that the campaign were participated by 139 visitors including 52 men and 87 women. These efforts come within the framework of the center's social responsibility and within the series of awareness campaigns to be conducted on the targeted locations of the center especially the local community.  More so, all of the campaigns are equipped with substantial knowledge and information to raise the people's awareness on ways to prevent heart diseases and other diseases as well.
