The Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Al-Qassim held a lecture about Cardiac Patients and Fasting in Ramadan, on Wednesday evening, April 21, 2021. Dr. Muhammad Ramadan Muwas, an Adult cardiologist, facilitated the lecture thru visual communication. He lectured the patients of the heart center and rationalized the importance of preserving their health and safety during this blessed month of Ramadan. Dr. Muwas discussed the types of heart diseases, stressed out the allowable and unauthorized cases that should do the fasting, gave some nutritional advice such as the most important and appropriate foods that the patients should eat during Iftar and Suhoor meals, and informed them about the right time to take their medicines. Dr. Muwas willingly grabbed this opportunity to educate the patients on the things they should and should not do during this holy month in order to assure the best state of their health, as well as their safety.

The center's management affirmed that the core aim of holding these lectures is to inform, educate, inculcate, and to raise awareness among cardiac patients on the DO's and DONT's during this holy month, the proper and right foods to eat during Iftar and Suhoor, and for the patients to be informed on the best time to take their medicines. The center also made sure that the patients were convinced to see the importance of consulting a doctor to maintain their health and safety. The said lectures are just one of the many endeavors that the center has partaken in reaching out to their patients and help them achieve a disease-free and a healthy life.
