The Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Al-Qassim established an Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation Program or shortly known as the ECMO program which intends to help people with severe heart and lung diseases, and for some cardiac diseases such as Acute Myocardial Infraction, Cardiomyopathy, Myocarditis, Cardiogenic Shock, It also extends its service to people with pulmonary diseases such as Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Pulmonary Embolism, and Respiratory Failure. 

The said ECMO program carried out by PSCCQ is the first and only reference in the region attending to the above-mentioned cases. The center continuously worked on providing ECMO services to several cases of patients in intensive care around a number of hospitals within the region.  

To note, a skilled medical staff working on these cases is heavily supervised by a composition of a Cardiologist and Pediatric Interventional Cardiologist, and Adult Cardiac Surgery Consultant, a Cardiac Intensive Care Consultant,  and  Perfusionist Specialist. The said medical staffs are keeping its best to take care of the patient, and treat them with the best of their capabilities. After all, they are a team from Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Al-Qassim - a center that always looks after the benefit and welfare of the patients.
