Prince Sultan Cardiac Center Qassim presented the first ever (INR) Clinic initiative in the entire Kingdom, and which was launched on January 1, 2020. This is considered to be one of the center’s qualitative approaches in innovating the center services. 

This initiative aims to reduce the number of blood liquidity auditors to nearly zero for the cardiac clinics, in addition to the remote review service through “point-of-care tests” in hospitals or primary care centers near the patient’s respective residences. The center also aims to deliver the required liquidity treatment direct to the patient’s homes through Saudi mail and in cooperation with King Fah’d Specialist. 

The INR Clinic Supervisor, Ms. Bayan Abusiryeh, confirmed that the achievements attained after the launching were summed up in the transfer of all blood thinning patients from the nearest hospitals and health centers to the patient’s point of origin. The blood fluid analysis were brought right at the doorsteps of the patient’s homes, thus, the patients doesn’t need to come to the center/clinic. The centers/clinics are responsible in activating the blood fluidity test in 13 health centers and in distributing the 15 blood thinner devices to the hospitals Ms. Abusiryeh also stressed out that there were trained workers at Al-Qassim hospitals and primary health care centers with the practical use of the device following the workshop and training course entitled “Clinical Management of Efficient Warfarin Treatment”. 

It is remarkably recognition for the center which served as the large segment of patients with blood thinning. 5,185 patients within the region and 1,800 patients from outside the region are evident enough to prove how PSCCQ is doing its part to accommodate each and every patient. PSCCQ is also thankful for the positive feedbacks from patients who were pleased and satisfied with the medical services provided to them. The 95% satisfactory rate is a challenge and an inspiration for PSCCQ to continue their quality services and to keep up the good job.
