PSCCQ successfully hold its 40th Awareness Campaign at Al Ashya College

Prince Sultan Cardiac Center Qassim with the recommending approval from the General Directorate of Health Affairs and in response from the invitation of the Dean of Faculty of Science and Arts, Dr. Fahad Al Sulami, along with the guidance of the Director General of Health Affairs in Qassim Region, Mr. Mutlaq Al Khammaly, holds its 40th Awareness Campaign for Prevention of Heart Diseases under the theme “Your Heart, Your Life… Protect Young Heart”

 

The said program was massively attended by more than 500 staff and students of the Faculty of Science and Arts at Al Asyah College of Qassim and was also graced with the presence of Dr. Huda Al-Ghafees, the Undersecretary of the said College.

 

Moreover, Dr. Abdulrahman Abdulazis Al Mesned, PSCCQ's director stressed out that the medical staff in charge of implementing the campaign was good enough in reaching out to the attendees by sharing advice and guidelines to protect and take care of the heart. They were primarily driven to emphasize the importance of a healthy heart free from diseases. Likewise, they promoted the need for a healthy food/diet, and the nature of a contemporary life, thereby leading to the ways and means of a good and healthy life. 

 

Furthermore, after the opening ceremony, Dr. Huda Al-Ghafees said that the campaign exemplifies a unified cooperation between the community and institutions represented by Qassim University and its activities supported by HE Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Dauod, together with Health Affairs represented by Prince Sultan Cardiac Center Qassim led by Ms. Mariam Ghaleb Al-Harbi. Accordingly, this is also a positive response and grant to the call of some colleges to establish this kind of campaign.

 

PSCCQ's Head of Health Education Department and Executive Director of Awareness Campaigns, Ms. Mariam Ghaleb Al-Harbi was happy to say that this series of heart awareness campaigns is currently recorded as the first awareness campaign ever held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who have gained the praise and support of the people within the community and the whole region as well. This significantly signifies that the community is keen and supportive of any health-related educational awareness.

 

In addition, the campaign which lasted for four hours was comprised of several lectures on the causes of heart diseases given by Dr. Ahlam Abdulrahman. During the workshop, more than 200 female students were also examined. Likewise, the efforts of the team were paid off with the tangible success of the event. The affair ended with the distribution of certificates of thanks and appreciation to recognize the efforts of the team.
