PSCCQ took part in the realization of Hand Hygiene Day on May 25, 2017.  This activity was greatly inspired by its theme Save Lives: Clean Your Hands. More so, it gave emphasis in its drive referring to "Fight Antibiotic Resistance - It's In Your Hands!"

The program was spearheaded by Mr. Abdullah Al Fouzan PSCCQ Deputy Center Director wherein he conveyed his gratitude to everyone who participated and likewise reminded them of the many remarkable importance of hand hygiene.

This is notably one of the many series of activities conducted by the center which aims to teach and implement hand washing to all health practitioners and patients as well as their families. More so, it aims to make sure that this may become a routine behavior that should be practiced at all times to reduce the transmission of infections among patients.

The event was also graced with the presence of the Nursing Department Administration led by their Nursing Director, Ms. Kahkashan Sana and Deputy Nursing Director, Ms. Lailah Abed Eddin. More importantly, the PSCCQ Medical Director, Dr. Tariq Soomro also showed up to support the activity.

Furthermore, PSCCQ was trying to become a channel for a disease-free environment. They pointed out that washing the hands properly is indeed one of the most important thing and the best healthy practice to prevent and control the spread of many diseases. Good hand hygiene will reduce the risk of things like flu, food poisoning and healthcare associated infections being passed from person to person. Several lectures were given to the center's medical staff and a demonstration on proper handwashing was held to train the health practitioners.
