Prince Sultan Cardiac Center Qassim has successfully concluded its "2nd Regional Pulmonary Hypertension Awareness Day" held last 18 of April 2015 at Movenpick Hotel Buraidah. The activity were attended by around 70 medical professional from private and public hospital in Qassim Region.
The program start with an opening remarks by Dr. Mohammad Saeed who welcomed all the participants and wish that the outputs of this program will help medical practitioner and be able to put into practice. The course were attended by distinguished and experienced guest speakers from King Abdulaziz Cardiac Center Riyadh, King Fahad Medical City Riyadh and King Fahd Specialist Hospital Buraidah.
The program coordinator Dr. Mohammad Saeed, explained that this program targeted directly to doctors and health providers, especially those dealing with the patients also to follow the latest developments related to and it was also discussed the ways to coordinate with each other during cases referral to the clinic at the center to treat the Pulmonary hypertension, which inaugurated in the center before few months ago. Dr. Saeed added that this activity includes 12 scientific lectures such as Pulmonary Hypertension, Images in pulmonary Hypertension, Clinical Management Hypertension, Chronic Thromboembolic Hypertension, Pulmonary Hypertension in Heart Failure and among others.
Dr. Saeed considered this disease as rare cases that require intervention, therapeutic and medical follow-up. He pointed out that in the previous months the center have already examined 250 patients suffering with pulmonary hypertension in which 20 of them were referred to specialized clinic to start the treatment.
