PSCCQ successfully concluded the 1st Regional Cardiology Meeting

The Regional Cardiology Meeting organized by the Education, Training and Research Department of Prince Sultan Cardiac Center Al Qassim has successfully concluded yesterday, February 28, 2015. The 1st Regional Cardiology Meeting for this year 2015 entitled " Prevention and Treatment of Stroke in patients with Non- Rheumatic Atrial Fibrillation". The said meeting took place at Movenpick Hotel and was deemed a success.  This monthly meeting holds in which all cardiologists, from the public and private sectors discuss ways to develop the capacity of cardiologists and working in this specialty in the region.

PSCCQ Medical Director, Dr. Tariq Soomro officially opened the program, also he welcomed all the speakers and participants. The meeting addressed issues and discussion of  Prevention and Treatment of Stroke in patients with Non- Rheumatic Atrial Fibrillation. The topic includes the Risk of stroke in Atrial Fibrillation, Prevention of Stroke in Atrial Fibrillation, New Oral Anticoagulation: (benefits and Concerns), Intervention and Devise Therapy in Atrial Fibrillation, Treatment of Acute Stroke in Patients with Atrial Fibrillation (Role of Antithrombotic and Thrombolysis and Role of Neuro Intervention).      

This activity is part of the program launched by the Education, Training and Research Department of PSCCQ and is likewise accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties for four (4) CME hours.
