PSCCQ successfully launched the 4th International Nursing Symposium

Prince Sultan Cardiac Center AL Qassim has successfully launched the 4th International  Innovation in Critical Care Nursing Symposium with the theme of " Process Improvement: A Roadmap to Change" held last January 14-15 2015. The 2-day event took place at the Movenpick Hotel in Buraidah City Qassim Province.

The Deputy Director General of Health Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Saloom formally opened the symposium and  welcomed all the guest and participants of the 4th Nursing Symposium.  In his speech the Director pronounced that training and development is one of the goals and objective of the Directorate of Health Affairs in the Region. He also conveyed his appreciation to all the organizers who devoted their time and effort to make the symposium  a successful one. In his speech He also gave his thanks to PSCCQ Director, Dr. Abdulrahman Al Mesned for holding such activity in the enhancement and betterment of the nursing staff. Participants of the said activity took up the importance of taking advantage in conferences such as this, absorbing the outputs and recommendations, and reflected on the outcome of health services they provide to their patients.

The conference content was presented by a group of excellent qualified nurses as well as specialized nurses in intensive care from inside and outside Kingdom such as Jordan, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sudan, Oman and Saudi Arabia. The course content of the conference comes within the educational and training activities organized by PSCCQ to develop the nursing staff to upgrade their skills and knowledge.

The event included a speech from the PSCCQ Nursing Director Ms. Kahkashan Sana, who welcomed both the international and national guest speakers as well as the participants to the conference. She likewise expressed her pleasure in the establishment of such conferences, saying that this kind of events will definitely improve the quality of nursing services and skills of the nurses.

Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Mesned, PSCCQ’s Center Director also welcomed His Excellency, the Director of General Health Affairs in Qassim, Dr. Ahmed Salom. The symposium is one of the many projects from PSCCQ to further enhance and develop its nursing staff and likewise to upgrade their level of skills inside and outside of the center.

Part of the program was the recognition of the 2014 Best Clinical Nurse and the first ever graduates of PSCCQ Cardiovascular Nursing Program and the Non- invasive Cardiovascular Technology Program.
