SCHS visit PSCCQ for re-accreditation

A committee from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties paid a visit this morning to the Prince Sultan Cardiac Center in Qassim for re-accreditation for  Diploma Cardiovascular Nursing and Diploma for Critical Care Nursing, which was launched last 2012 in collaboration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

The committee, which was represented by Dr. Taqwa Omar, President of the Scientific Council for Nursing, Dr. Elham Naqshbandi, and Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mesned, PSCCQ’s Center Director had a meeting today. The center director informed them about the success of the training program that was launched and discussed with them about the future plan. The relationship does not stop with the initial accreditation. PSCCQ continues to work with these high achieving organization to achieved and maintain accreditation, keep up to date with the new standards and offer guidance on the continues expectation of performance improvement that SCHS accreditation promotes.

The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties took an ocular tour to the Training Center where they were shown the classroom, stations, and equipment used for hands-on training and simulation in nursing education as a teaching modality. Then they moved to the intensive Care Unit, then to some departments at the center.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Center Director Mr. Abdullah Al Fouzan, Dean of the College of Nursing at the Qassim University Dr. Khalid Alhosays and Acting Director of Nursing Ms. Laila Abed Eddin  and Ms. Ma. Rosario Labiste Education Coordinator who escorted the Committee during the tour.
