The Department of Health Education at the Prince Sultan Cardiac
Center Al Qassim recently inaugurated a 2-day awareness campaign about Antithrombotic
Drugs held at PSCCQ's Cardiac OPD in the presence of Ms. Ghaidah Al Najem,
Head of Health Education.
This activity purposely aimed to spread the awareness about Antithrombotic Drugs and it also aimed the pharmacy students to give the
practical chance of teaching the patients with the anti-coagulant medication
or the so-called Warfarin. Likewise, the students comprehensively taught the
importance of this medicine, the mechanism of action and its side effects.
This activity was in collaboration with the joint
participation of King Fahad Specialist Hospital pharmacy, King Saud Hospital
and Pharmacy Students of Qassim University under the supervision of Health
Educator Ms. Shaimaa Ziad Mahmoud.
The center extended its gratefulness and appreciation to the staff
and students behind this purposeful and successful endeavor.
Before finally ending the activity and to reciprocate the patients'
active and warm response, the students gave them gifts to express how
thankful they are for their participation.
