PSCCQ successfully concluded the 2nd Pediatric Mechanical Ventilation Course

The Department of Education, Training, and Research of Prince Sultan Cardiac Center Qassim in collaboration with the National Guard Health Affairs Riyadh has successfully conducted the 2nd Pediatric Mechanical Ventilation Course on January 7-8, 2019 at the Maternity Children’s Hospital Training Hall. A total of 85 medical practitioners were in attendance. This activity has been accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties for 15 CME Hours.

Leading off the program, PSCCQ Center Director and Consultant Pediatric Interventional Cardiologist, Dr. Abdulrahman Al Mesned warmly welcomed everyone in the venue and made special recognition to the guest speakers who came all the way from Riyadh. He sincerely thanked them for unselfishly sharing their time, efforts, and knowledge. He also hopes that the participants will grab this rare opportunity of learning from the lectures and workshops and will hopefully use this for the betterment of their craft and work. 

Dr. Bana Ismael Nasser Agha, PSCCQ Consultant Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist also welcomed the participating guests and gave an introductory statement about the totality of the course. She also said that this course includes 11 scientific lectures and six workshops. The course is intended to educate health care providers on the principles of early recognition respiratory failure and essential steps in setting and initiating mechanical ventilation. This course has a special emphasis on pre and post-operative mechanical ventilator management of the critically ill cardiac patient. PSCCQ believe that sharing experience and exchanging knowledge will reflect positively on the quality of care and improve the health care services that we can offer to our patients.

This two-day course was able to meet its purpose of educating and informing the health practitioners with the best medical approach when it comes to this sphere of treatment.
