PSCCQ SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED 4TH TRAIN THE TRAINERS COURSE

The Department of Education, Training, and Research of Prince Sultan Cardiac Center Qassim conducted a two-day course entitled Train the Trainers held last February 21-22, 2018 at the PSCCQ Conference Room.  This is the fourth training course and is considered to be a part of the series of specialized training courses offered by the Center.  This course was attended by 20 nurses from the center and from various hospitals in Qassim region.

This course included several sets of lectures and workshops designed to alleviate and improve the efficiency and increase the level of performance of health practitioners in their field of specialization.

The activity started with a lecture and a workshop on the Introduction to TOT given by Ms. Laila Mahmoud Abed-Eddin, PSCCQ Deputy Nursing Director. She gave a spontaneous and a vivid explanation of what TOT is all about.  Afterward, she also led the workshop related to the lecture so the participants can clearly understand the complete nature and background of TOT.

As the activity preceded PSCCQ Nursing Director, Ms. Kahkashan Sanakhan Mughal added another important and additional knowledge by giving a lecture on the Introduction to Preceptorship Program and made it more understandable by involving the participants in a workshop.

PSCCQ Education Coordinator, Ms. Rosario Labiste talked about Time Management. She pointed out the importance of managing one's time.

Ms. Laila Mahmoud Abed-Eddin returned as the lecturer on Formulating SMART Learning Objectives and went on with another workshop. To see to it that everyone in the venue has really grasped the whole essence of the content of the lectures being inculcated, the first-day activity ended up with an evaluation.

On the second day, February 22, 2018, Ms. Laila Mahmoud Abed-Eddin gave another lecture and a follow-up workshop on Creating Quality Project. She deliberately explained on how to create such an ideal kind of project.

As the series of lectures continued, Ms. Laila made a performance assessment and taught them how to formulate an action plan. Later on, she conducted a workshop that includes the participation of everybody.

Ms. Laila Mahmoud Abed-Eddin still has the energy to continue sharing her knowledge by leading the lecture and workshop about Competency Based Practice. And this day ended with another evaluation.

Ms. Lailah Mahmoud, Deputy Nursing Director and Instructor of Trainers emphasized the importance of this particular training course. According to her, these serve as a learning tool in improving the nursing performance of health practitioners and help them raise their proficiency and excellence in dealing with their patients.
